Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Shippingport, Pennsylvania seeks an experienced leader to oversee the Electrical Maintenance group. You will provide technical and administrative direction to supervisors, ensure qualified personnel are available, and ensure activities meet site procedures and regulations.

You will manage a multi-million dollar budget, oversee the electrical training program, and drive development of maintenance guidelines while coordinating with NRC, INPO, and ORC.

Qualifications

• Four years related Maintenance experience.
• Two years nuclear power plant experience; must have participated in supervisory or management activities at an operating nuclear plant.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, technical and administrative direction for 30+ craft and supervisor personnel.
• Manage a multi-million dollar budget for Electrical Maintenance contracts and onboarding.
• Oversee Electrical training and qualification program administration.
• Manage special projects as requested by the Maintenance Director.
• Develop and approve Electrical Maintenance guidelines and procedures.
• Respond to emergent work activities as needed by Operations Management.
• Owner and administrator of the site Electrical Safety program.
• Ensure maintenance complies with procedures, instructions, policies and regulations.
• Interface with outside entities such as NRC, INPO, and ORC.

• Manage a multi-million dollar budget to include allocation of funding for all Electrical Maintenance contracts including resources and critical on-boarding.
• Oversee & assist in the administration of Electrical training & qualification program.
• Manage special projects as requested by the Maintenance Director.
• Development & approval of Electrical Maintenance guidelines & procedures.
• Respond & reconcile emergent work activities as deemed necessary by Operations Management.
• Owner and administrator of the site Electrical Safety program.
• Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with applicable procedures, instructions, policies and regulations.
• Professional Interface with outside entities such as NRC, INPO, & ORC.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Four years related Maintenance experience.
• Two years nuclear power plant experience. During the two years, the individual shall have participated in supervisory or management activities of an operating nuclear power plant.

Key Metrics

• Maintain Electrical Maintenance spending within budget.
• Ensure the proper number of qualified personnel to perform Electrical tasks are maintained.
• Perform quality maintenance with a goal of <1 rework item per year attributed craftsmanship or human performance.
• No plant shutdowns, load reductions, or trips due to maintenance of equipment for the fuel cycle.
