Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area is seeking a Manager to lead the New Glenn Fluids Design team. You will oversee hands-on design, development, supplier management, and system engineering for the fluids subsystem of the new upper stage.

The role requires strong leadership, deep fluids knowledge, and experience with cryogenic components, testing campaigns, and GD&T. You will mentor engineers, enforce design standards, and drive safe, repeatable spaceflight while partnering across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or science (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, nuclear, or physics).
• 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups.
• 5+ years aerospace industry or related field experience.
• Strong project management and leadership skills focused on delivering results.

Technical leadership will be required to drive the team to solve difficult problems, incorporate changes, and lead failure investigations. As a leader across the entire stage, you will be responsible for setting and enforcing design standards, working interfaces between systems, and solving technical and programmatic issues. You will share oversight responsibility including Engineering Change Approvals, checking drawings and technical documents, and managing the purchase order system (MRP). You will provide leadership and oversight through major test efforts and stage qualification, build, hot fire, and launch.You will need a proven ability to develop, execute, and improve technical processes in the design and development cycle of rockets by formulating and implementing preventative and corrective actions. Ability to lead and mentor teammates in a highly collaborative environment is essential.
