Exciting Leadership Opportunity at EECU — Manager, Mortgage Sales. Are you a high-performing mortgage leader ready to build, inspire, and drive growth? EECU is seeking a dynamic Manager, Mortgage Sales to lead our mortgage production strategy and elevate our member lending experience.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
  • Lead, coach, and develop mortgage loan originators to achieve individual and team production, quality and member experience goals.
  • Establish and execute mortgage production strategies aligned with credit union growth objectives, including SOP, product reviews and system training.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, application flow, pull-through rates, and closing performance to ensure consistent volume and operational efficiency.
  • Respond to inquiries and/or referrals generated from personal contacts or other EECU business channels. Knowledge of secondary loans (Purchase Money/Refinance), including Conventional, FHA, VA, HELOC and Home improvement loan applications. Loans must comply with EECU lending criteria as well as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae requirements.
  • Drive business development through partnerships with branch teams, real estate professionals, builders, and community networks to increase referral-based lending.
  • Manage performance through regular coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews. Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing talent while fostering a culture of accountability and member-first service.
  • Analyze production metrics, market trends, and performance data to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and incentive program execution related to mortgage production.
Qualifications
  • Must be proficient in Velocify, Excel, Encompass, TalkDesk, Polly, Blend, and Microsoft Teams. Understanding of HMDA, and Escrow analysis a plus. Licensed in NMLS and through the State of Texas as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
  • Must have 2 years of management experience and 5+ years of mortgage lending experience with Mortgage GSE regulation knowledge.
  • College degree required.
  • Ability to balance analytical processes of qualifying a mortgage applicant with sales skills to place them in the best loan product to meet the applicant's needs.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups and/or clients.
  • Ability to communicate across all channels such as telephone, email, text and in person.
  • Excellent written, oral, time management, and communication skills.
  • Analytical abilities to evaluate credit reports, title work/abstracts, appraisals, flood certificates, surveys.
  • Extensive knowledge of all loan types offered.
  • Knowledge of real estate processing state and federal laws, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA knowledge, and regulations regarding real estate lending and real property insurance coverages.
  • Attention to detail and follow up is critical to success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within strict time deadlines.
  • Goal-oriented, team player, positive in nature, and highly detailed.
  • Able to participate in outside promotional events conducted by the real estate department.

Responsible for compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA. Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
