Job description

At Revlon, we create beauty innovations for everyone that inspire confidence and ignite joy every day.

Breaking beauty boundaries is in our company’s DNA. Since its game-changing launch of the first opaque nail enamel in 1932 (and later, the first long-wear foundation), Revlon has provided consumers with high-quality product innovation, performance, and sophisticated glamour. Elizabeth Arden made waves as a woman-led beauty company in the 1920s. In 1931, Almay became the original hypoallergenic, fragrance-free beauty brand.

Today, Revlon resiliently continues its legacy as a leading global beauty company. Our diverse portfolio—which consists of some of the world’s most iconic brands and product offerings in color cosmetics, skincare, hair color & care, personal care, and fragrances—is sold around the world through prestige, professional, mass, and direct-to-consumer retail channels. These brands include Revlon, Revlon Professional, Elizabeth Arden, Almay, American Crew, CND, Cutex, Mitchum, Sinful Colors, Creme of Nature, Christina Aguilera, John Varvatos, Juicy Couture, Ed Hardy and more.

We honor our heritage, embrace change, and applaud diversity. We champion our employees and celebrate our consumers.

We are Revlon, together, transforming beauty.

This role is a Hybrid Role: Employees are expected to work from our New York office 3 days per week and may work remotely the remaining days.

Role Overview

The Manager, Marketing – Fragrance supports the North America business within the US Brand Marketing team, with responsibility for driving brand performance across the Mass Fragrance portfolio. This role helps shape and execute marketing strategy, manage budget priorities, and translate broader portfolio objectives into actionable brand and channel plans.

With a strong focus on commercial performance and brand equity, the Manager partners closely with Integrated Marketing Communications, Trade Marketing, Sales, Education & Merchandising, and Global Marketing to bring strategies to life and support informed, data-driven decision-making.

The role is designed to provide clear ownership and accountability across the assigned portfolio, enabling focused channel management, agile decision-making, and executional excellence. Responsibilities include managing key elements of the Fragrance marketing budget, from annual planning and allocation through in-market investment decisions and ROI tracking.

Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Director, the Manager will proactively identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and help shape strategy within the portfolio while ensuring strong alignment and continuity across key cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Business Ownership
  • Support development and execution of US marketing strategy within NA portfolio direction; from annual planning through in-market execution, with accountability for portfolio performance and business results.
  • Provide input and recommendations into key business decisions including brand positioning, portfolio health, and bringing a clear strategic point of view to business decisions and trade-offs.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and manage annual marketing plans, including budget allocation, channel priorities, investment choices, and ROI targets, while proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Provide strategic leadership on pricing, forecasting, innovation pipeline, and new product feasibility for the allocated portfolio, making recommendations grounded in business performance and consumer insight.
Go-to-Market Execution
  • Lead the development and execution of 360° launch plans for the Mass portfolio, partnering with IMC cross-functional teams (Digital/Social, PR/Influencer, Media, E-commerce, Retail Experience) to ensure alignment to brand strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Manage key relationships with Trade Marketing and lead retail strategy recommendations that drive sell-through, proactively solve business challenges, and maximize in-market impact for the portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with the Retail Execution team to ensure the brands are compellingly represented across fixtures and event activities, identifying and resolving risks proactively before they impact execution.
  • Own support for new door openings and retailer launches with bespoke Fragrance marketing programs tailored by channel, customer, and business need.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Become the Mass Fragrance category lead in cross-functional meetings and planning processes, representing the business with a clear point of view and informed recommendations.
  • Partner with Trade and Sales to execute retailer strategies by retailer and channel for the portfolio and align decisions to commercial priorities.
  • Own cross-functional alignment, proactively problem solve to remove barriers, and serve as a back-up for Senior Director when out or where needed to maintain continuity in decisions, priorities, and execution.
Consumer, Category & Competitive Intelligence
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of the US Fragrance competitive landscape in Mass, identifying threats, opportunities, and white space.
  • Leverage consumer insights, Circana data, and retail performance data to form a clear point of view, develop strategic recommendations, and proactively course-correct as needed.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against KPIs; synthesize findings into clear recommendations and present business implications and proposed actions to senior leadership.
  • Communicate US Mass Fragrance market needs to Global Marketing teams; ensure US requirements are reflected in global planning.
Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing or marketing management, with demonstrated ownership of a product category, business franchise, or comparable scope of responsibility.
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, fragrance, or luxury consumer goods preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute 360° marketing plans independently, from strategic planning through in-market activation, with sound judgment and a clear point of view.
  • Strong analytical skills; experience with Circana, retail performance data, and consumer insights.
  • Collaborative working style with demonstrated ability to manage key cross-functional relationships and influence teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem solve, navigate ambiguity, and operate as a trusted back-up or delegate for senior leadership when needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning and volume forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with luxury/prestige retail channels (Department Stores, Specialty, Amazon/Pure Players).
  • Experience working with global brand teams and translating global strategy for the US market.
  • Experience marketing in the prestige beauty / fragrance category.
