Jobbeschreibung

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

PayPal's marketing organization is undergoing a multi-year transformation — building an AI-native operating model that changes how we acquire, activate, and retain customers at scale. The Manager, Marketing Operations & Growth sits at the center of that transformation, turning strategy into execution and keeping the organization moving with clarity and speed.

This is a strategic leadership role — not an administrative one — with real accountability for outcomes and a direct path to senior leadership for the right person.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Identify issues and recommend best practices to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Lead functional projects and programs that drive business improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze business trends and inform marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage marketing plans that support organizational goals.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of marketing functions through effective project management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership Support
  • Serve as the operational partner to senior marketing leadership — managing priorities, preparing decision-ready materials, and ensuring the right conversations happen at the right time
  • Own preparation for Leadership meetings, Board presentations, and Marketing Transformation & Growth reviews — including briefing documents, talking points, and executive presentations
  • Partner with the CMO Operations team on org design, resource allocation, and ways of working across the marketing organization
Operations & Planning
  • Drive the marketing operating rhythm — weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning, and annual strategy cycles — ensuring every forum produces clear decisions and accountable follow-through
  • Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning process — coordinating inputs across all workstreams and aligning with Finance on investment plans
  • Own the performance management infrastructure — tracking OKRs, KPIs, and business metrics and ensuring leadership has a real-time view of marketing's performance
Transformation & Growth
  • Lead cross-functional AI and marketing transformation initiatives — including budget rationalization, process redesign, and organizational change — that require senior coordination and Leadership visibility
  • Identify growth opportunities across the marketing organization — new capabilities, partnerships, or operating model improvements that can accelerate key business outcomes
  • Partner with ROI & Effectiveness leads, Data Science, Marketing, and Finance to develop investment scenarios and consolidate them into clear recommendations
  • Translate analytical and financial information into concise recommendations, clearly articulating what leadership needs to decide, why the recommendation is supported, what uncertainties remain, and what action should follow
Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and manage the internal communications rhythm — town halls, all-hands, leadership updates, and team announcements — keeping the organization aligned and informed
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology, Legal, and HR — ensuring marketing's priorities are understood and supported
  • Lead cross-functional task forces on priority business issues — convening the right people, driving to decisions, and holding the organization accountable for follow-through
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy, digital marketing, business operations, , and management consulting, ideally in a large consumer technology or fintech organization
  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution — able to develop a clear point of view and then make it happen
  • Experience supporting or working directly with senior executives — managing agendas, preparing materials, and representing leadership priorities
  • Strong background in marketing operations, budget management, and performance measurement
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional investment, planning, measurement, analytics, or business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to write a crisp one-pager, a board presentation, and an internal team announcement with equal clarity
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking — able to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Bias for action — comfortable moving quickly and making decisions without always having perfect information
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
