Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in marketing operations or related field.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, apparel, consumer brands, live events, or fast-moving environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Experience managing integrated calendars, operating plans, budgets, project plans, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clarity, surface risks, drive decisions, and hold stakeholders accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Planning and Prioritization: Maintain the integrated Marketing calendar across campaigns, matchdays, ticketing, content, digital, community, partnerships, communications, and initiatives.
  • Campaign and Initiative Management: Build plans for major campaigns with objectives, audiences, briefs, timelines, owners, approvals, measurement, and next steps.
  • Cross-Functional Operations: Serve as a central operating partner across Marketing, the Club, agencies, and external partners.
  • Matchday and Experience Operations: Build the Marketing operating plan for matchday as the flagship live brand and fan experience.
  • Systems, Processes, and Measurement: Develop templates, workflows, and practices to improve Marketing effectiveness.

Position Summary

Bay FC is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative Manager, Marketing Operations to help build and manage the operating system behind the Club's Marketing organization.

This role will translate marketing priorities and business objectives into clear, coordinated action. Working across Brand, Creative, Content, Digital, Growth, Ticketing, Partnerships, Community, Communications, Finance, Match Operations, Sporting, and external partners, the Manager will create greater visibility into priorities, timelines, ownership, resources, dependencies, and measurement.

The role will oversee key planning rhythms, the integrated marketing calendar, campaign and project workflows, cross-functional coordination, budget visibility, and operational processes. The ideal candidate combines strong marketing instincts with exceptional operational discipline and knows how to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities
Marketing Planning and Prioritization
  • Own and maintain the integrated Marketing calendar across campaigns, matchdays, ticketing, content, digital, community, partnerships, communications, retail, cultural moments, and Club initiatives.
  • Translate annual and quarterly priorities into operating plans, timelines, milestones, workstreams, owners, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Lead the Marketing intake and prioritization process, balancing strategic priorities, resources, timing, and business impact.
  • Provide leadership with visibility into competing priorities, investment, resource needs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Establish forward-planning timelines that support stronger creative, campaigns, experiences, content, and fan communications.
Campaign and Initiative Management
  • Build and manage plans for major campaigns and initiatives, including objectives, audiences, briefs, deliverables, owners, timelines, approvals, amplification, measurement, and next steps.
  • Ensure teams understand how their work connects to the broader campaign and fan experience.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and unresolved decisions early, and drive them toward resolution.
  • Establish launch-readiness processes for campaigns, events, matchdays, partnerships, and major Club moments.
  • Help develop repeatable platforms, programs, and processes where appropriate.
Cross-Functional Operations
  • Serve as a central operating partner across Marketing, the broader Club, agencies, and external partners.
  • Establish clear ways of working, including ownership, decision rights, handoffs, approvals, and communication expectations.
  • Manage regular planning and operating rhythms, including weekly priorities, campaign reviews, leadership updates, forward planning, and post-program reviews.
  • Facilitate meetings focused on decisions, accountability, dependencies, and next steps.
  • Build trusted relationships and help teams navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and changing business needs.
Matchday and Experience Operations
  • Build the Marketing operating plan for matchday as Bay FC's flagship live brand and fan experience.
  • Coordinate timelines across match themes, campaigns, ticketing, fan communications, content, creative, merchandise, community, partnerships, Fan Fest, player storytelling, in-stadium experiences, and post-match engagement.
  • Establish planning milestones and readiness checks to create a connected fan journey.
  • Support select Club events, community activations, cultural programs, partner experiences, and other priority moments.
  • Be available for select evenings, weekends, matches, and events as needed.
Systems, Processes, and Measurement
  • Build and improve systems, templates, workflows, and operating practices that help Marketing work more effectively.
  • Establish processes for briefs, intake, kickoffs, creative development, reviews, approvals, asset delivery, launches, and post-program learning.
  • Improve the use of project-management, collaboration, planning, and marketing technology tools.
  • Establish standards for campaign documentation, file organization, version control, approvals, and handoffs.
  • Identify bottlenecks, duplicated effort, and unnecessary complexity, and develop practical solutions.
  • Help establish consistent measurement and reporting across campaigns, matchdays, events, and programs.
  • Create clear scorecards, dashboards, leadership updates, and post-program reviews that inform future planning and decision-making.

  • Marketing has one clear view of its priorities, calendar, major initiatives, and investment.
  • Resources are aligned to the work that matters most to the Club and brand.
  • Teams begin work earlier and have greater clarity around ownership, expectations, and decision-making.

Qualifications
  • 4-6+ years of experience in marketing operations, integrated marketing, brand marketing, project or program management, or related field.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, apparel, consumer brands, media, live events, culture, or another fast-moving consumer environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns, from strategy and briefing through creative development, execution, launch, and measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Experience managing integrated calendars, operating plans, campaign workflows, budgets, project plans, and reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational judgment and the ability to distinguish urgent activity from high-impact work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clarity, surface risks, drive decisions, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Experience collaborating with creative, content, digital, media, experiential, partnership, community, and commercial teams.
  • Proficiency with project-management, collaboration, spreadsheet, presentation, and reporting tools.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity without creating unnecessary complexity.
  • Strong marketing instincts and an appreciation for brand, creative quality, consumer experience, and fan behavior.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic sports environment and supporting select evenings, weekends, matches, and events as needed.
Compensation

The anticipated starting salary for this role is $110,000. Actual starting pay may vary based on factors including experience, skills, and scope.
