Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mapleton, IL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of the production unit, lead technicians and contract staff, and ensure safety standards are met.

You will plan and schedule maintenance, manage the budget, train staff, and drive TPM initiatives while aligning with company safety and quality goals. Weekend day shift and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• MS Office Suite.
• Foundry and machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Creating work plans for staff and contractors; reviewing the maintenance work performed by technicians.
• Making purchasing decisions and recommendations regarding equipment and tools; training the workers periodically on various maintenance processes and techniques.
• Ensuring execution of planned maintenance work as well as preventative maintenance tasks.
• Monitoring the maintenance budget; identifying cost-effective alternatives for current maintenance activities.
• Tracking daily inventories, inspecting production units for wear and tear; ensuring replacements are made on time.
• Coaching and mentoring teams in order to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.

Role Definition

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Basic knowledge of total productive maintenance principles, methods, and processes; ability to maximize machinery effectiveness through active involvement of all supporting departments.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
