Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment.
• Lean manufacturing experience and data-driven decision making preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a cohesive technical team focused on safety, quality, service and efficiency.
• Drive lean principles to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Use data to evaluate downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain monthly maintenance and repair spend for the facility.
• Organize and track capital projects.
• Maintain production standards and measurement systems.
• Promote employee engagement and a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity Manage all aspects of the technical department including managing maintenance costs, contractor‑performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Build and lead a cohesive team for technical employees focused on company objectives of safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
2. Drive and apply lean principles to the maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase the throughput.
3. Use data collection processes to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions.
4. Maintain monthly R&M spend for the facility.
5. Organise and track capital projects.
6. Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required.
7. Promote employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Performance Measures and Outcomes

1. Safety metrics
2. Scrap / Lbs processed
3. PM compliance
4. Unplanned downtime
5. Mold change time (if applicable)

Education/Certification
