U.S. Xpress is hiring a Manager, Maintenance in Tunnel Hill, GA. The role oversees the complete operation of the maintenance facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise up to 20 staff, coordinate in-service of trucks, and deliver daily operational reports.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 4 years shop/truck experience and 2 years leadership. Remote work is not offered; standard business hours apply.

What You’ll Do:
Coordinate maintenance activities at Dedicated Accounts that are close by.
Meet with staff to ensure consistency with company policy and procedure and other issue resolutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
Maintenance vocational experience preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in shop or working with trucks required.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required.
Skills/Certifications
Driver’s license essential.
Personnel management skills.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understanding of all maintenance sections of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Advancedcomputer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office (specificallyExcel), Internet and applicable company specific applications.
Knowledgeable of DOT regulations related to vehicle maintenance
Taking initiative and assertiveness skills.
Excellent analytical skills; able to think "outside the box"

Qualified inspector of Equipment Annual Inspection as defined under FHWA 396.12 preferred.
Qualified Brake Inspector as defined under FHWA 396.25 preferred.
