Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a world-class maintenance function and boost facility efficiency. You will drive health & safety, oversee shop housekeeping, and implement robust spare parts systems across the plant.

Requires a Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years in manufacturing and 5+ years in maintenance supervision, plus CMMS experience and reliability/predictive maintenance know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (required).
• 10+ years of manufacturing/industrial experience (required).
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience (required).
• Experience with CMMS (required).
• Experience with reliability excellence and preventive/predictive systems (required).
• Lean experience (preferred).
• BMS/DCS/PLC knowledge (preferred).

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices at all times.
• Promotes a safe and collaborative work environment for all team members.
• Oversees housekeeping activities for the shop, ensuring organization and excellence.
• Implements spare parts organization and a robust spare parts tracking system.
• Partners with the maintenance team to develop mechanical and electrical skills.
• Develops improvement processes to reduce cost and improve plant operating efficiency.
• Maintains cost control to support facility and organizational goals.
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Maintenance Manager – As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for establishing a world-class maintenance function to improve facility operations efficiency.

• Utilizes leadership skills to promote a safe and collaborative work environment for all team members
• Oversees housekeeping activities for the shop, ensuring organization and promoting excellence
• Implements spare parts organization and a robust spare parts tracking system
• Partners with the maintenance team to ensure the appropriate mechanical and electrical skill sets are developed or acquired
• Develops improvement processes to reduce cost and improve plant operating efficiency
• Maintains cost control to support facility and organizational goals
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (required)

Experience

• 10+ years of manufacturing/industrial experience (required)
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience (required)
• Experience utilizing CMMS (required)
• Experience with reliability excellence and preventative/predictive systems (required)
• Lean experience (preferred)
