Manager - Logistics Integration
The Manager, Logistics Integrations leads the design, implementation, and support of integration solutions between Elanco, Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), carriers, and transportation platforms. This includes detailed process discussions with LSPs on the business process and integration required to enable Elanco’s business. The role is responsible for driving Transportation Management (TM) integration initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The position works closely with Global Logistics, IT, O2C, Quality, Affiliate teams, and external logistics partners to define and implement scalable integration solutions that support Elanco's transportation and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of Transportation Management integration solutions between SAP TM, ERP systems, Logistics Service Providers, carriers, and external transportation platforms.
- Define and govern transportation-related integration requirements including shipment creation, transportation order processing, freight order execution, shipment visibility events, proof of delivery, and freight settlement transactions.
- Partner with Global Logistics and IT teams to drive the Transportation Management integration roadmap, ensuring scalable and standardized solutions across regions and business units.
- Engage with LSPs to understand their business processes and identify gaps or changes in processes to support integration. Perform process mapping and design where needed.
- Understand how LSP manages stock statuses and Unit of Measures conversions in their ERP system.
- Recommend integration approach based on volume of transactions (inbound, outbound, scrapping, returns, physical stock adjustment, etc.). Define integration objects and rules in alignment with operational needs.
- Understand the concepts and usage of PI/PO and BRF+ tables.
- Coordinate, prepare and support test execution with LSP partners in alignment with project timelines.
- Prepare and execute cutover planning with LSPs within project timelines.
- Be a recognized authority across the business and externally for Data integration.
- Be the escalation point for the resolution of major customer issues for integration and API services.
Team Engagement
- Coach & Mentor the Business Process Analysts supporting the Integration monitoring, fostering strong team skills and culture for improving application integration techniques.
- Create/update LSP Integration training documents as required including maintaining support documents/SOPs.
Communication / Networking
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve production incidents and proactively seek opportunities to develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Build internal, external, and third-party supplier relationships to ensure full commitment and support for integration services.
Minimum Qualifications
- University Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, IT or Supply Chain or MBA.
- 8+ years of progressive responsibility for Logistics Integration & TM Integration in a global or regional supply chain position, combining strong IT focus, project management, and operational experience.
- Experience driving improvements and managing change across a diverse organization working with people across geographies and at multiple levels.
- Broad understanding of various disciplines and issues impacting supply chain operations around the world (e.g., regulatory and environmental issues, quality control, etc.).
- Orientation – Business savvy, customer focused, flexible and adaptable, self‑managed and organized.
- Organizational Influence – Proven ability to persuade others in conversational forums.
- Experience in complex global matrix organizations.
- Strong analytic, conceptual and technical skills; structured work approach.
- Strong communication – presenting words, images and ideas clearly and compellingly.
- Ability to analyze (big) data.
- Previous exposure to Warehouse Management and/or Transportation Management systems.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written; additional language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS certification.
- SAP or related certifications.
