Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Liquidity Risk Manager within Treasury to translate complex liquidity data into actionable insights. You will develop regulatory reports, validate LCR/NSFR/FR2052a, and partner with technology to automate processes.

You will own analysis, maintain documentation, and support on-time submissions in a hybrid work environment, with emphasis on accuracy and collaborative problem-solving across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in a financial organization.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills for large data sets.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive business requirements for regulatory reporting enhancements.
  • Analyze liquidity reports (LCR, NSFR, FR2052a) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support daily regulatory submissions and maintain process documentation.
  • Participate in testing and validate UAT results with analytical review.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries; build analytical models and automation.
  • Interpret data from multiple sources and recommend technical solutions.
  • Identify data defects and work with tech partners to resolve them.
  • Serve as treasury liaison on liquidity monitoring projects.
  • Document findings and present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assess regulatory changes, conduct gap analyses, and assist planning.
  • Contribute to liquidity reporting projects and analytics roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with product owner to prioritize initiatives and dependencies.
  • Drive long-term enhancements to reporting efficiency via analytics.

The Liquidity Risk Management group within Treasury manages liquidity planning across the corporation and its subsidiaries, including our bank and broker-dealers. We monitor regulatory ratios and adherence, and develop associated tools to assist our business partners in analyzing the liquidity impacts of business decisions. We are responsible for the development of robust contingency liquidity analyses and plans, as well as developing liquidity risk models to help identify emerging risks. This group is responsible for the design of company liquidity management policies, ensuring compliance at all times, and escalating to senior management as necessary. The Treasury Manager position is an individual contributor role.

  • Experience with regulatory reporting (FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR) is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx is a plus
  • Experience with AxiomSL ControllerView is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present findings to diverse audiences
  • Strong multi-tasking ability to organize and manage multiple, changing priorities
  • Ability to use SQL to extract information from various applications and systems and identify research anomalies
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem resolution skills
  • Adaptability and resilience in uncertain environments with evolving regulatory landscapes
What You’ll Do
  • Develop comprehensive business requirements documentation for functional and non-functional enhancements supporting Liquidity Regulatory reporting processes
  • Perform in-depth analysis and validation of liquidity reports including LCR, NSFR, and FR2052a to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Support daily on-time regulatory submissions and maintain internal procedures and documentation for liquidity reporting processes
  • Support testing by participating and validating UAT results through detailed analytical review
  • Create and optimize SQL queries to analyze datasets of varying complexity; develop analytical models and automation solutions
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources including databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems; make data-driven recommendations for technical solutions and process improvements
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis and defect identification; collaborate with technology partners to resolve data discrepancies and ensure timely closure
  • Act as treasury liaison in projects for developing liquidity monitoring tools and analytical frameworks
  • Document and present analytical findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes, perform gap analysis, and support implementation planning
  • Contribute to analytical projects and specialized reporting requirements, primarily focused on liquidity risk and regulatory compliance
  • Work with Liquidity Reg Reporting lead and product owner on prioritizing initiatives, identifying system dependencies, and developing analytical roadmaps
  • Support long-term initiatives to enhance Liquidity Regulatory Reporting efficiency through analytical insights and automation
