Job summary

RXO, Inc. is hiring a Last Mile Operations Manager in Bradenton, FL. You will oversee contract carrier daily operations, plan routes, monitor performance, and ensure timely deliveries.

You will mentor staff, manage dispatch, and uphold company policies while using route planning software. Strong logistics experience and bilingual English/Spanish are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of contract carriers, including maintaining schedules and monitoring routes.
• Develop and mentor staff to reach goals and train on company policies and procedures.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs.
• Supervise employees in line with company policies and applicable laws.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Manage the dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve efficiency.
• Train and develop carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately within time frames.
• Take photos for every job and allocate resources as needed.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Oversee the daily operations of contract carriers, includingmaintainingcontractor schedules, monitoring routes, reports and fostering positive working relationships with contract carriers and helpers

• Develop and mentor staff to reach goals; train staffoncompany policies and procedures

• Carry out managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues

• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs

• Supervise employeesin accordance withcompany policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints/resolving problems

• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes

• Manage the dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day

• Identifyproblem areas, including restructuring routes to improve operational efficiencies

• Train and develop contract carriers, and dispatchers to meet and exceed customer expectations

• Ensure that all work is completed accurately and within establishedtime frame

• Ensure photos are taken for every job

• Allocate and requestadditionalresources as needed

At a minimum,you’llneed:

• 5 years of relatedlogisticsand supervisory experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.

It’dbe great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business,logistics, or similar

• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights, and weekends; travel between branches and regions occasionally

• Experience mentoring, training, and guiding newer/less-experienced team members

• Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write, and speak both languages)

• Strong business acumen with the willingness to act in partnership with management teams
