Job summary

Builders FirstSource seeks a Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics to lead the analytics strategy and a team of BI professionals. You will drive data-driven decision making by delivering robust dashboards and reports from SAP, Power BI, and Tableau platforms.

You will define roadmaps, partner with senior leaders, and oversee delivery from concept to completion while coaching team members and expanding capabilities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • 7+ years relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of PowerBI or Tableau experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a small group of BI and Data Analysts and guides processes.
  • Defines the analytics capability roadmap to support organizational needs.
  • Delivers on project scope with defined plans, resources, and timelines.

The Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics leads the development and execution of the organization’s analytics strategy by leveraging data, technology, and emerging AI capabilities to drive business outcomes. This role provides strong leadership to a team of BI and Data Analytics professionals, establishes and communicates a clear vision, and ensures the successful delivery of analytics solutions, platforms, and insights. Through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development, the Manager drives initiatives from concept to completion while enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Leads small group of BI and Data Analysts, follows defined operating model and framework to guide teams processes.
  • Manages and delivers on the analytics capability roadmap to support the organization needs.
  • Defines scope for project and program opportunities and creates project plans, including resource needs and timelines.
  • Accountable for delivery and execution of defined deliverables.
  • Partners with senior team members on day-to-day operations including staffing and tracking project status; course corrects for shifting priorities.
  • Leads Analytics Platform upgrades and maintenance for SAP, Power BI and others.
  • Delivers powerful stories and insights in quality reports and dashboards from extracted and analyzed data for varying enterprise needs.
  • Acts as reviewer for team members, coaching on delivery of analysis.
  • Guides team to break down roadblocks and learn new methodologies and data tools.
  • Acts as an escalation point for direct reports and partners with them on developing approaches to solve strategic, tactical, structured, and unstructured business problems through interpreting complex data from multiple sources and translates this into actionable insights.
  • Manages execution and day to day operations of platform vendor support relationship, maintains and develops relationships.

Minimum Requirements
