Job description

Help shape the investment story behind the next generation of nuclear energy.

This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work closely with senior leadership at a publicly traded, growth-stage advanced nuclear energy company. You will help connect the Company's technical progress and commercial strategy with its financial outlook, translating complex business developments into clear, compelling investor communications. From quarterly earnings and financial modeling to institutional investor engagement and capital markets analysis, your work will help shape how investors and analysts understand NANO Nuclear's business and long-term potential.

The ideal candidate combines investment banking or equity research experience with a strong corporate investor relations background, exceptional financial modeling and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex information with precision. You are intellectually curious, commercially minded, and comfortable navigating an evolving business environment where initiative, sound judgment, and ownership are essential.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Investor Communications: Support the quarterly earnings process, including earnings presentations, press releases, management scripts, anticipated Q&A, supporting analyses, and earnings call coordination.
  • Develop Financial Models and Business Insights: Build and refine financial models, valuation analyses, scenario assessments, and business forecasts that reflect evolving business units, capital requirements, revenue opportunities, and potential acquisitions. Partner with FP&A on business-unit forecasts and capital project analyses.
  • Shape the Company's Investment Narrative: Develop and enhance corporate investor presentations, earnings materials, executive briefings, and investor and analyst day presentations that clearly communicate the Company's strategy, progress, and long-term investment thesis.
  • Monitor Industry and Competitive Developments: Research industry trends, peer companies, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning. Analyze earnings transcripts, equity research, and market intelligence to identify implications and opportunities for senior leadership.
  • Strengthen Investor Targeting and Shareholder Insights: Use investor relations platforms and market intelligence tools to identify prospective institutional investors, analyze shareholder composition and ownership trends, monitor investor activity, and prepare tailored investor profiles.
  • Build Investor and Analyst Relationships: Support institutional investor meetings, sell-side analyst discussions, investor conferences, and non-deal roadshows. Prepare executive briefing materials and progressively take a more active role in communicating the Company's strategy and investment thesis.
  • Support Capital Markets Initiatives: Contribute to financing analyses, investment banking relationships, potential transactions, and other strategic capital markets opportunities.
  • Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with finance, technical, and business-unit leaders to understand operational developments, validate financial assumptions, and ensure investor communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Improve Processes and Tools: Identify ways to strengthen investor relations workflows, reporting, and research capabilities, including the effective use of AI and automation to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, including the ability to assess complex industries, technologies, financial information, and competitive dynamics.
