Job Summary

Manage, plan, and coordinate inventory activities and operations while leading a team of inventory control associates. Ensure accuracy and integrity of all inventories within a distribution center.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and motivate the inventory control team, including hiring, training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee inventory to maintain physical counts, manage replenishments, and analyze inventory level changes.
  • Identify slow or non-moving products and coordinate transfers to facilitate movement.
  • Manage vendor relations, returns, and analyze purchasing to minimize excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and maintain internal controls over inventory flow and accounting.
  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy through tools and process implementations with cross-functional teams to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inventory control issues and processes.

  • Requires analytical and investigative skills.
  • Achieves results through decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
  • Manages a team of professionals and supports staff indirectly.

Work Environment

  • Primarily indoors in a comfortable environment, with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
  • Mostly seated with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles.
  • Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline and 7+ years of experience. Certification may be required. An advanced degree may offset less experience.

Pay Range

$101,800.00 - $154,300.00 annually.

Salary posting is required by law in specified states. Base pay is determined by various factors including experience and skills.
