Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4+ years without degree).
  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse/inventory control or logistics management experience.
  • 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of MRPs/ERP systems and inventory management practices.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory control operations including receiving, kitting, cycle counting, put away, shipping, and outside processing.
  • Lead and develop inventory control staff and warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure 99%+ inventory accuracy within ERP; manage KPI reporting to upper management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in stockroom/warehouse processes and layout optimization.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to optimize stock levels and reduce backorders.

In the role of Manager, Inventory Control you'll play a pivotal part on our logistics team. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible to ensure timely flow of material and purchased parts within each function of the warehouse including receiving, kitting, cycle counting, put away, shipping, and outside processing. Accountable for inventory accuracy, kitting completion, cycle count completion and the turn-around time for shipping, receiving and put away, as well as the reporting of these KPIs. Assist in other projects as assigned.This position contributes to our vision by:Inventory Control & Strategy• System Management: Maintain 99% or higher inventory accuracy within the ERP platform.• Auditing: Ensure compliance with Safran Standards of cycle count accuracy and completeness. Design and execute a continuous cycle-counting program and lead annual physical inventory audits.• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate root causes of stock discrepancies, overages, and shortages, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.• Optimization: Analyze supply levels and warehouse layouts to improve picking efficiency and storage density.Supply Chain & Operations• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and vendors to adjust minimum/maximum stock levels and resolve backorders.• Order Fulfillment: Ensure inbound/outbound shipments align with carrier deadlines and meet customer needs.• Reporting: Generate daily and weekly reports on inventory valuation, stock turns, and slow-moving items for upper management.• Daily Operations: Perform daily management of logistics functions, including performance tracking in support of internal and external customer requirements.
