Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior Security Program Manager to lead a team of security professionals in a high‑intensity government environment. You will manage complex programs with in‑depth supply chain security, ensuring compliance with government regulations and achieving milestones.

Responsibilities include developing security metrics, guiding briefed personnel, interfacing with program leadership, and applying strict classification guidelines across all contracts.

Qualifications

• 8 years of security experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a Master’s (15 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree).
• Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance or enrollment in the DoD Continuous Vetting Program with an investigation date current within the last 6 years.
• In‑depth knowledge of NISPOM and program protection methodologies.
• Experience managing industrial security programs: writing OPSEC plans, program protection implementation plans, and SPPs.
• OPSEC LevelII certification.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program access(es).
• Knowledge of ICD705 construction and accreditation processes.
• Experience leading projects and driving performance against schedule.
• Prior experience supporting Agile/DevSecOps environments.
• Experience in Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales contracts.
• U.S. citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance.

• Provide overall security guidance through a continuous, robust education program.
• Maintain organization, teamwork, and prioritization of multiple tasks in a fast, dynamic environment.
• Manage the security budget within an established target.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, executive leadership, and external agencies to deliver innovative security solutions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels.

Additional Responsibilities

• Interface with Business Development and Business Capture, providing security guidance on international pursuits.
• Generate quick‑turn RFPs, RFIs, and solicitation contracts with program management.
• Oversee the USG‑designated Trusted Agent for S‑DREN token lifecycle, including management, issuance, renewal, revocation, and inventory of all SIPR tokens.
• Interpret and apply security requirements within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Translate regulatory and contractual requirements into practical, risk‑based controls that support manufacturing operations without degrading schedule, cost, or quality.
• Employ strong leadership and communication skills to uphold the highest standards of security and compliance across multiple programs.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication.
• Work independently and guide projects through to completion.
• Maintain flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.

• Proven ability to manage diverse, dispersed security programs and teams across program/interdisciplinary domains.
• Experience leading proposal efforts: writing Basis of Estimates (BOE), labor forecasting, and Statement‑of‑Work reviews.
• Experience planning and managing staffing and hiring for large teams, including partnerships with HR and talent acquisition.
• Security+ certification.

Salary & Benefits

Primary level salary range: $127,100.00 – $190,700.00. Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salary offers, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus and long‑term incentives may apply, depending on position and executive level.
