All World Wide Wings Manager Responsibilities:

All managers, regardless of position, share responsibility of and are accountable for following the World Wide Wings Manager Description in conjunction with the following job description specific to this position in the company.

Department Manager Job Purpose
  1. Heart of House Department Manager: primary responsibility for the Heart of House (HOH) area, managing food/product matters, staffing, and team member development. Maintains a safe environment and improves bottom line profitability through revenue and labor management. Assists the General Manager with overall operation.
  2. Bar Department Manager: supervises the Bar Department, manages beverage matters, ordering, inventory, Responsible Alcohol Service compliance, hiring, training, and motivation of bartenders and bar servers. Maintains a safe environment and profitability.
  3. Hospitality Manager: supervises dining room service, manages hospitality team planning and development, and maintains a safe environment.
Department Manager Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and ongoing development to meet staffing guidelines.
  • Responsible for WCT training and maintaining department certification.
  • Develops direct reports through action/development plans.
  • Coordinates hiring decisions with other Department Managers.
  • Creates weekly department schedules within labor guidelines.
  • Creates and implements incentive programs and contests.
  • Provides regular performance feedback, timely appraisals, and develops the merit increase process.
  • Assists the General Manager with coaching other managers on performance management.
  • Provides coaching and follow‑up to ensure execution of service standards and guest experience.
  • Ensures all team members have current state‑required training and permits.
  • Looks for techniques to attract new guests.
  • Responsible for the Guest Comment program and food quality complaints.
  • Utilizes Guest Experience Management program to provide feedback and make adjustments.
Quality Operations – Heart of House Department Manager
  • Facilitates adherence to new food product rollouts and ensures quality and portioning standards.
  • Communicates with food vendors and holds them accountable.
  • Ensures menu specs, wall charts, and systems are used and adhered to.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and collaborates with the General Manager.
  • Assists with coaching and training on quality, service, cleanliness, and inventory.
  • Analyzes performance tools and creates action plans.
  • Conducts administrative functions: invoices, inventory, end‑of‑day procedures.
  • Monitors equipment and reports repair needs.
  • Ensures compliance with Board of Health and safety practices.
  • Facilitates new bar product rollouts and vendor compliance.
  • Ensures bar system usage and communicates improvement areas.
Quality Operations – Bar Department Manager
  • Analyzes performance tools and creates action plans with bartenders and bar servers.
  • Conducts administrative functions.
  • Monitors bar equipment for quality.
Quality Operations – Hospitality Manager
  • Assists with Local Restaurant Marketing program.
  • Creates sales‑building incentive contests.
Sales and Profits – Heart of House Department Manager
  • Responsible for overall food cost and HOH labor results.
  • Orders all food and paper products from vendors and distributor.
  • Maintains inventory levels and conducts inventories.
  • Establishes projections and understands P&L.
  • Completes assigned duties.
Sales and Profits – Bar Department Manager
  • Ensures bar cost tools are utilized.
  • Responsible for overall beverage costs and labor results.
  • Maintains inventory levels.
  • Understands sales and profit goals and troubleshoots issues.
  • Manages waste, comps, voids, and discounts.
  • Creates bar sales incentive contests.
Sales and Profits – Hospitality Manager
  • Assists with Local Restaurant Marketing program.
  • Creates sales incentive contests.
  • Completes assigned duties.
Use of Equipment and Environmental Factors

Use of restaurant equipment including headsets, fryers, ovens, microwave, dishwasher, grills, Bunn hot water dispenser, cash registers, cleaning supplies, and computer and peripheral equipment. Some maintenance includes unclogging toilets, relighting water heaters, etc. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and insurance required for positions that require driving. Fast‑paced work environment inside restaurant with frequent immersion of hands in water, some outdoor duties, irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays, 24‑hour on‑call, 50 hours per week.

  • High school education or equivalent; valid driver’s license; satisfactory background check; ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
