Job summary

E.W. Wylie, LLC is launching a Manager in Training (MIT) program in Fargo, ND to develop future leaders in our operations organization.

You will rotate through fleet operations, account management, and brokerage to gain hands-on experience and build leadership, communication, and analytical skills. The program provides exposure to day-to-day transportation operations, customer service, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for advancement within a growing

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured rotational training program across multiple operational departments.
  • Support customer accounts and build strong relationships with customers and professional drivers.
  • Assist with load planning, capacity management, and daily transportation operations.
  • Learn fleet management processes and help ensure operational efficiency.
  • Support account retention efforts and customer service initiatives.
  • Develop leadership and decision-making skills through real-world business challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

About the Role

The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed to develop future leaders within E.W. Wylie's operations organization. Through a structured rotational program, you will gain hands-on experience across key business functions including fleet operations, account management, and brokerage.

This role provides exposure to the day-to-day operations of a transportation company while helping you build the leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills needed to advance into future management opportunities.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, sales, account management, or operations
  • Leadership experience through work, internships, athletics, military service, volunteer work, or campus involvement
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM platforms, or similar business systems

Location: Fargo, ND

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
