Job summary

American Tire Depot is seeking a Manager In Training to grow into a Store Manager role. You will lead a busy shop, ensure a top-tier guest experience, and guide teams of technicians and advisors to deliver quality service.

You will own daily operations, coach staff, manage inventory and scheduling, and drive sales while upholding safety standards. Strong communication and a results-driven mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 13 years in automotive service management or retail repair leadership
• Strong service-sales background (tires, brakes, maintenance, or mechanical)
• Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid drivers license and ability to lift 70 lbs
• Self-starter who thrives on results, accountability, and growth
• Open availability, including weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front: open/close, daily game plan, safety and efficiency
• Own the guest experience: greet, advise, build estimates, explain work clearly, close sales
• Bridge between technicians and customers; translate inspections into recommendations
• Develop the team: coach advisors and techs, reinforce processes, celebrate wins
• Run the business: inventory, ordering, cash handling/POS, scheduling, KPI tracking, OSHA/EHS compliance
• Cover for the Store Manager when out; model elite standards on every shift

Manager In Training

What Makes You a Great Fit

• At least 1-3 years of experience in automotive service management or retail repair leadership


• Strong background in service sales (tires, brakes, maintenance, or mechanical)


• Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment


• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


• Valid driver's license + ability to lift 70 lbs (jumping in when needed is part of the job)


• A self-starter who thrives on results, accountability, and growth


• Open availability, including weekends, to lead and support the team during peak business times
