Job summary

Affordable Home Furnishings is seeking a Manager-in-Training in Texas, with relocation possible to advance within our 3 Texas locations. Openings in Beaumont, Port Arthur or Orange. Salary $40,000 - $50,000 per year.

You’ll learn every aspect of the business from sales to inventory and daily operations while working with experienced managers. You’ll gain leadership skills and the opportunity to eventually run your own store location, with a clear path to management in a family-owned company that

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Sales experience required.
• Collections or account management experience preferred.
• Rent-to-own experience is a major plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to assist with lifting and moving furniture and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform all aspects of store operations
• Handle all sales, collections and service on a route while learning our system
• Lead by example in sales and customer service
• Help manage customer accounts and collections
• Train and motivate team members
• Set up and maintain showroom displays
• Put together new merchandise
• Clean and refurbish previously rented merchandise
• Monitor inventory and merchandise flow
• Assist with deliveries, pickups, and warehouse operations when needed
• Help recruit, coach, and develop employees
• Work toward managing your own store location

Affordable Home Furnishings is looking for a motivated leader to join our Fast Track Store Manager program. This position is designed for individuals with retail, sales, or rent-to-own experience who want to grow into a Store Manager role.

You’ll learn every part of the business-from sales and collections to inventory, deliveries, team leadership, and daily operations-while working directly with experienced managers.
