Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Imaging Manager to lead clinical operations within the Imaging Department, including equipment, personnel, scheduling, budgeting and customer service. The role involves collaboration with physicians and staff to optimize procedures, safety and quality across X-ray, CT and MRI services.

The ideal candidate will coordinate day-to-day activities, supervise staff, ensure licensure and ongoing competencies, and drive process improvements in a dynamic Illinois imaging

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine (IEMA)
• RDMS-BR, RDMS-AB, RDCS-FE, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-NE, RVT-VT, RDMS-PS
• ARRT radiography registration and related radiology credentials
• Experience coordinating imaging services is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.
• Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated Imaging service and resolve customer issues.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to advise on technical procedures, techniques and equipment.
• Oversee personnel duties: interviewing, payroll reporting, scheduling, leave, and compliance with rules.
• Monitor employee performance, communications, goal setting, evaluations and pay actions.
• Ensure staff orientation, training, competencies, licensure and education are current.
• Train personnel on equipment and ensure competency in its use.
• Develop budget recommendations and monitor activities; oversee X-ray, CT, MRI budgets and capital equipment.
• Develop best practices with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams for X-ray, CT and MRI.
• Monitor quality and dose reduction initiatives in X-ray and CT.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.
• Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing Imaging services and resolution of customer complaints or problems.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve problems and provide advice concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for personnel related duties that include interviewing, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, scheduling paid leave, and enforcing required rules and regulations.
• Monitors employee performance and ensures timely communications for the purpose of goal setting, performance evaluations, wages increases and continued personnel actions.
• Ensure that all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current.
• Ensure that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use.
• Develops budget recommendations and monitors budget activities.
• Manages X-ray, CT, and MRI professionals.
• Oversees operational budget for X-ray, CT, and MRI.
• Oversees capital equipment purchases for X-ray, CT, and MRI.
• Develops best practices with radiologist and interdisciplinary assistance for X-ray, CT, and MRI.
• Monitors quality and dose reduction initiatives in X-ray and CT.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $48.18per hour - $82.87per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
