Job summary

Novolex in Malvern, Arkansas is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams, driving machine, process and facility performance while meeting cost targets. You will provide engineering support and resources to sustain plant production.

Responsibilities include ensuring preventive maintenance, identifying capital opportunities, and managing capital project submissions, staffing, and safety programs in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with 6+ years of engineering experience and at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus; Six Sigma and PLC knowledge beneficial.
• Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite. SAP knowledge is a plus.
• SAP, Six Sigma, and PLC skills/knowledge a benefit.
• Effective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GMP compliance and Pest Control program; maintain quality systems requirements.
• GMP Responsibilities; Executes duties to maintain compliance with product safety/GMP, legal regulatory and quality systems requirements.

DESCRIPTION:

• Provide leadership for Engineering and Maintenance with the ultimate objective of maximizing machine, process, and facility performance while achieving cost targets. Provides engineering support and resources to sustain plant production.
• Assures plant facilities and production equipment are properly maintained through predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Works with corporate and plant resources to identify capital opportunities.
• Responsible for developing and managing capital project submission activities.
• Responsible for hiring, technical and maintenance employees. Completes performance management including disciplinary action where required.
• Coordinates communication and implementation of manufacturing and technical initiatives.
• Manages plant budgets, which includes technical group salaries, building and grounds, maintenance materials and utilities.
• Responsibility for meeting site environmental compliance and providing support to plant safety programs.
• GMP Responsibilities;
  • Ensures all associates follow defined operational methods and personnel practices to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • The Technical Manager coordinates the Pest Control program, general building maintenance and major equipment maintenance.
  • Execute said duties to maintain compliance with stated product safety/GMP, legal regulatory and quality systems requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in engineering with 6+ years in engineering field with demonstrated project and process management skills with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and negotiation skills required.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve various technical related issues.
• Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite. SAP knowledge is a plus.
• SAP, Six Sigma, and PLC skills/knowledge a benefit.
• Effective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.
