Job summary

ADUSA Transportation is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead and optimize inventory operations at our distribution campus in the United States. You will supervise supervisors and associates, align staffing with volume demands, and partner with Transportation and Shipping to ensure accurate, timely product movement.

You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while mentoring a high‑performing team and delivering measurable operational results.

  • Oversee day-to-day inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and service standards.
  • Lead and develop supervisors and associates within the inventory team.
  • Align staffing and scheduling with inbound/outbound volume demands.
  • Partner with Transportation, Shipping, and campus departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.

Job description

As an Inventory Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in keeping our distribution campus running efficiently and accurately. You will oversee inventory operations, lead and develop supervisors and associates, and partner across departments to ensure product moves safely, accurately, and on time.

Your Impact
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee day‑to‑day inventory operations, ensuring production, accuracy, and service standards are consistently met.
  • Lead a team of supervisors responsible for inventory execution and associate performance.
  • Align staffing and schedules with inbound and outbound volume demands.
  • Partner closely with Transportation, Shipping, and campus departments to ensure seamless inventory flow across the operation.
  • Serve as a key operational leader under the direction of the Campus Manager.
People Leadership & Development
  • Build, coach, and inspire a high‑performing inventory team.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development of supervisors and associates.
  • Drive performance through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and accountability.
  • Act as a mentor and coach for supervisor trainees progressing through the DLOT curriculum.
  • Conduct departmental meetings to reinforce priorities, performance, and company values.
Safety, Quality & Accountability
  • Champion a culture of safety and accountability, minimizing accidents and injuries through proactive leadership.
  • Hold teams accountable for delivering the highest‑quality product to retail partners and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership
  • Act as a change agent, leading lean education, adoption, and sustainability within assigned operations.
  • Identify and eliminate waste, inefficiencies, and non‑value‑added activities.
  • Drive improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve the working environment.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset by engaging associates in idea generation and solution implementation.
Performance, Reporting & Financial Stewardship
  • Manage labor costs while improving productivity and operational performance.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver against budget and operational goals.
  • Provide accurate reporting and insights to the Campus Manager and leadership team.
  • Recommend and implement process and procedural improvements that maximize efficiency and throughput.
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong ability to communicate business priorities in a way that aligns and motivates associates.
  • Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to implement practical solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on associate engagement, morale, and performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer service communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts and weekends as business needs require.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Powered industrial equipment certification (where applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supporting tools (RF, voice selection).
  • Basic understanding of business and financial reporting.
