Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2 years in Transportation/Logistics and/or military equivalent or suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field with 2 years of experience in transportation/logistics and/or military equivalent
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Ability to develop and track challenging goals that support business strategies.

Job Summary:

Under general direction, this position oversees a team responsible for transportation brokerage activities. The incumbent will support objectives by advancing growth targets and profitability, leading talent management, and cultivating a best-in-class experience. This position will participate the strategy, metrics, and budget processes with leadership.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Execute the growth focused activities as directed by management to realize and capture market potential.

Strategize customer base and market trends to establish desk-level goals for the team.

Assist in the development of the team strategy through providing input on key performance indicators (KPIs) and budget considerations to meet and exceed branch and business unit goals for profitability.

Manage risk and maintain financial integrity in all business matters.

Lead talent identification, development, performance, and overall management efforts to promote customer and operational success.

Promote customer success by ensuring that an excellent experience is provided and personnel are proactively identifying inefficiencies to increase stakeholder satisfaction and operational efficiency; provide desk coverage to support business continuity when primary representative is absent.

Compile data and support monthly and/or quarterly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal experience and profitable growth.

Participate in strategy processes to ensure freight volume meets or exceeds goals and volume commitments by maintaining award compliance, identifying growth opportunities, creating plans for forecasted needs, and resolving any deviation to increase stakeholder satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Monitor trailing equipment for proper utilization and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2 years in Transportation/Logistics and/or military equivalent or suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences.

  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting.

  • Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness.

  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Ability to develop and track challenging goals that support business strategies.

  • Ability to form, develop, and manage effective teams.

  • Ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.

  • Ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field with 2 years of experience in transportation/logistics and/or military equivalent

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
