Job summary

SS&C Technologies, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Manager, Hedge Fund Accounting to lead a high-performing fund accounting team supporting sophisticated hedge fund clients. You will mentor staff, review P&L, NAV, pricing, and allocations, and manage client reporting and audits.

You will drive onboarding of new clients, launches, reorganizations, and platform conversions, while coordinating with auditors and internal teams on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of fund accounting experience with a hedge fund administrator.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hedge fund accounting principles.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, audit support, and investor allocations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with a broad range of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, repos, futures, FX, mortgages, options).
• Solid understanding of corporate actions and their accounting impact.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day work plan for the U.S. Client Service Fund Accounting team, managing workflow, priorities, and deliverables.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, training, and performance leadership to accounting professionals.
• Review and approve fund accounting deliverables, including P&L reporting, NAV calculations, pricing, and allocations.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, partner capital statements, and client reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships.
• Develop and execute plans for new onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, and platform conversions.
• Resolve complex fund accounting and operational issues escalated by the team.
• Coordinate and manage the external audit process with auditors and clients.
• Partner with internal teams on strategic initiatives, product development, process improvements, and system enhancements.
