This is a field-based role that will cover Western NY & PA, OH, MI, and WV.

The Health Informatics Manager in Market Access supports strategic initiatives that use health information technology (HIT) to improve care delivery across GSK priority therapeutic areas. The role partners with health systems and cross-functional GSK teams to align approved HIT capabilities with customer needs, clinical workflows, and technology environments, including electronic health records, population health tools, and digital solutions.

Working within a shared-service model, the Health Informatics Manager translates customer and healthcare data insights into practical opportunities to improve patient identification, clinical workflows, care coordination, and operational efficiency. The role serves as an educator and subject matter resource, helping customers evaluate approved EHR-enabled tools and resources while ensuring implementation decisions remain with the health system and align with customer governance, GSK policies, and applicable Legal and Compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with health-system stakeholders and cross-functional GSK teams to align approved HIT resources with customer needs, clinical workflows, and technology environments.
  • Assess customer workflows, EHR readiness, data insights, and operational barriers to identify compliant opportunities that may improve patient identification, care delivery, coordination, and efficiency.
  • Educate customers on approved EHR-enabled, digital, patient identification, and measurement resources and support their evaluation for potential use.
  • Contribute HIT expertise to account planning and customer engagement, sharing relevant insights, risks, opportunities, and health IT trends with internal partners.
  • Serve as a HIT subject matter resource across Market Access and other GSK business units, coordinating customer support and providing field input on scalable tools and resources.
  • Ensure customer ownership of clinical, technical, implementation, validation, privacy, security, and governance decisions while working within GSK policies and applicable Legal and Compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in health informatics or EHR-related roles (such as clinical informatics, EHR analyst, or EHR super user) within a hospital, physician practice, or other patient-care environment.
  • Experience with inpatient or ambulatory clinical workflows, care coordination, and health information technology, including front-end use of a major EHR platform such as Athenahealth, Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Meditech, OncoEMR, or iKnowMed.
  • Customer-facing experience assessing needs and collaborating across teams, with hands‑on knowledge of EHR products, clinical decision support, patient identification, order sets, care pathways, reporting tools, and health-system governance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, community oncology practices, or large provider organizations.
  • Experience in Oncology, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, or other relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Experience supporting product launches, EHR optimization, clinical workflow redesign, population health, or digital health initiatives.
  • Experience with multiple EHR platforms and related reporting or population health tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality measures, value-based care, interoperability, and digital health technologies.
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter with strong accountability and results orientation.
  • Project and change management experience, including EHR adoption, workflow readiness, and end‑user enablement.
  • Epic or other major EHR vendor certification, CPHIMS, RHIA, RHIT, or other relevant certification.
  • Advanced degree in health informatics, clinical informatics, or a related field.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, collaboration, interpersonal, and customer‑success skills.
  • Strong organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical and workflow concepts to varied audiences.
