HF Sinclair Corporation seeks a Manager, Government & Public Affairs to lead government relations and public affairs strategies in Washington and Oregon. You will work with refinery leadership to build stakeholder support, engage lawmakers, and manage coalitions to advance policy objectives.
You will identify relevant legislation, participate in rulemaking, and represent HF Sinclair at state Capitol hearings.
The Manager,Government & Public Affairs works closely with Government Affairs and refinery management to develop and execute government and public affairs strategies to further overall company objectives in certain state and local matters. Lead in strategic stakeholder engagement efforts, rulemakings, crisis/incident response and development of applicable messaging to local communities, government officials and key stakeholders.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
A minimum of five years industry and specialty related experience.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in scientific discipline, Government, Public Policy, Law, Communications, or a related field, is required.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills; basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; strong legislative competency as well as strong negotiating and influencing skills. Analytically strong with attention to details. In depth knowledge of legislative data requirements, programs and policies. Thorough understanding of the legislative process, including an understanding of the roles and decision points in Congress and Federal regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.

Office based with up to 25% travel by land and air required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
This position has a salary minimum of$113,500.00 and maximum of$206,300.00.
