Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Manager for our fund administration team on the West Coast, with the option for full remote work. You will oversee client deliverables, complex fund calculations, audits and investor communications across multiple private equity funds, guiding a team and driving efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in accounting/finance and years of experience in private equity or alternative asset firms, delivering high-quality client service and insights.

Qualifications

  • Over five years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a mix within alternative asset firms.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills in accounting, finance and fund administration.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service and build long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client relationships across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring expectations and timelines are met.
  • Apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to fund operations, reporting and investor communications.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and performance metrics (e.g., IRR).
  • Manage audits, tax requests, and financial statement reviews; drive process improvements.
  • Train junior team members and support team development and efficiency.

As a senior manager on our fund administration team, you’ll work directly with leading private equity clients, supporting fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications under the guidance of our experienced team. You’ll oversee client deliverables, review complex fund calculations and financials, manage audits, train junior staff, and drive process improvements across multiple engagements.
This is a West Coast based position that can be fully remote.

What you’ll do
  • You’ll lead client relationships across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring expectations are met and timelines are followed.
  • You’ll apply your understanding of limited partnership agreements to fund operations, reporting, and investor communications.
  • You’ll prepare and review key financial components like journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and performance metrics such as IRR.
  • You’ll manage audits, tax requests, and financial statement reviews while continuously improving operational processes.
  • You’ll prioritize tasks, respond to client requests, and train junior team members to support team development and efficiency.

  • The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location ($88,000-$120,000).
  • You bring over five years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a mix of both within alternative asset firms.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills in accounting, finance, and fund administration.
  • You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, giving you a solid foundation for your work.
  • You consistently deliver exceptional client service, building trust and long-term relationships.
  • You apply your expertise to support complex fund operations and drive high-quality outcomes.
