Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Finance business partner to support Clinical Study Teams, CROs, Vendor Outsourcing, and Controllership. You will lead study-level financial execution, close, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and timely insights.

This role requires advanced Excel/PowerPoint, strong cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on problem solving in biotech finance. You will drive improvements in forecasting processes and provide actionable analyses for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant experience in biotech/pharma finance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Finance business partner for Clinical Study Teams (CSTs), CROs, Vendor Outsourcing (VO), and Controllership; provide study-level financial execution support, issue resolution, and operational guidance.
• Lead month-end close for assigned studies (accruals, variance analysis, study-level reporting, coordination with business partners).
• Own and maintain study forecast models; ensure assumptions, timelines, vendor inputs, and operational changes are reflected in Latest Estimate, budget, and planning.
• Manage system inputs and reconciliations for forecast, budget, close, and reporting; resolve data quality/process issues.
• Create financial decks/analyses/management reporting on study performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
• Streamline operational activities, handoffs, and improve forecast and close/reporting processes.
• Support financial analysis/reporting for development collaborations as needed.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Perform ad hoc analyses for study execution and leadership requests.

Compensation/benefits (if provided):

Salary range $136,340.00–$176,440.00; may include annual bonus/long-term incentives and paid time off; benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
