Job summary

Wipfli in the United States is seeking a CAS Financial Reporting Manager to support nonprofit clients with financial visibility, budgeting, and grant reporting. You will lead engagements, coach staff, and build strong client relationships across advisory teams.

This role can be worked remotely anywhere in the US and offers a salary range of $97,000 to $145,000 plus benefits; actual compensation depends on location, skills, and experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
  • 4–6 years of recent accounting experience, including public accounting and controller-level responsibilities within nonprofit or federally grant-funded organizations.
  • Exposure to nonprofit compliance requirements, including grant reporting, Uniform Guidance, or audit support activities.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP), including restricted funds and net asset classifications.
  • 3+ years of experience managing associates and/or teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, including financial statements, KPIs, and cash flow.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct) and the ability to adopt new technologies.
  • CPA or similar certification preferred; ability to travel up to 10%.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 to $145,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
