  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to collaborate across regional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of GI International financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Coordinate financial reporting updates with regional finance teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead balance sheet integrity, reconciliation quality, and transparency.
  • Governance across multiple bases including local statutory and IFRS reporting.
  • Review and streamline reporting processes; strengthen controls and timelines.
  • Partner with Finance transformation teams to implement enhanced reporting solutions.

Job description

Manager Role Overview

The Manager will play a key role to support timely, and accurate completion of AIG’s General Insurance (GI) International financial reporting results, coordination of statutory reporting activities, lead Balance Sheet optimization initiatives and partner closely with International Controllership teams, Functional stakeholders and Finance Transformation teams to drive improvements to financial reporting processes across the controllership organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the timely, accurate, and completeness of AIG General Insurance- International’s financial reporting results and disclosures supporting AIG’s quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and functional stakeholders to coordinate financial reporting updates, resolve reporting issues and ensure alignment across the teams.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen Balance Sheet integrity, transparency and reconciliation quality
  • Strengthen financial statement stewardship and governance across multiple reporting bases, including local statutory reporting and IFRS reporting requirements, status updates and filing deadlines
  • Review and enhance financial reporting frameworks, identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes, strengthen controls and improve reporting efficiency and timelines.
  • Partner with Finance transformation teams to support the implementation of enhanced reporting solutions across the Controllership organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in financial reporting, accounting, or controllership roles, at a public company, incl. Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
  • Insurance industry experience a plus
  • Strong Excel experience
  • SAP and Power BI a plus
  • Strong problem solving and Project Management skills
  • Strong communication and presentational skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across regional and functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, by embracing change, and identifying opportunities to improve processes that benefit the team and the organization
Salary and Compensation

For positions based in New York, the base salary range for this position is $99,000-$123,000.

For positions based in New Jersey, the base salary range for the position is $97,000-$120,000.

The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
