The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reporting and technical accounting, with the willingness and desire to jump into the GL and day-to-day accounting operations - focusing on utilizing modern solutions to automate processes, creating space for data analysis over data gathering, and generating insights that drive decision‑making. • Act as the on‑hand technical accounting expert, guiding the team in the application of new accounting standards
  • Lead the annual financial reporting and audit process, including the preparation of the annual financial statement package and acting as the key liaison with our external auditors
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX standards
  • Own the monthly consolidation process, including performing intercompany reconciliations and elimination transactions between the parent and subsidiaries, review of subsidiary TBs, and ensuring proper translation to the consolidated reporting format
  • Manage several key accounting processes, including:
    • Assisting with all accounts payable, expense reimbursement, and T&E‑related topics
    • Inventory accounting - Interfacing daily with the ops team to monitor buying and receiving activities, ensuring accurate costing data and seamless integration of operations transactions into the GL
    • Management of the monthly ASC 842, equity, and debt processes
    • Perform monthly account reconciliations and other close tasks to ensure accuracy
Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience, with at least part of that time spent in Big 4, at a public company in an SEC reporting role, or similar
  • CPA license
  • In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proven ability to lead the audit process and compile annual financials
  • Ability to research and provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and financial reporting issues, and explain them in simple, easy‑to‑understand terms
  • Willingness to research, test, deploy, and manage modern technology solutions to drive efficiency and automation across the function
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with multinational corporations, foreign currency, and intercompany accounting
  • Experience implementing automation tools in accounting‑specific contexts
  • Experience in a public company and/or SOX‑compliant environment
  • Accounting for inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing experience
  • Skilled in utilizing ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
