NBCUniversal is seeking a Manager of Production Finance to lead all financial operations for Olympics & Sports Production, owning budgets from planning to actualization for events including pre-Games trials and the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

You will partner with Production, Operations and Scheduling to provide transparent financial reporting, manage budgets, run cost analyses, and support strategic decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables).
  • Prior experience with global ERP systems (such as SAP).
  • CPA, CORE or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Production Budget process for upcoming events and seasons.
  • Budgeting and reporting for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
  • Provide real-time updates on spend vs budget and identify risks/opportunities.
  • Deliver FP&A and controllership requirements, including budgeting cycles, close and actualization.
  • Prepare cost analyses and financial summaries to support decisions.
  • Support leadership with special requests and cross-functional initiatives.

Job description

The Manager of Production Finance is a key leader responsible for overseeing all financial operations that support Olympics & Sports Production. This role owns the full financial lifecycle for assigned productions, including Olympic Games / seasonal sports budgeting and actualization.

The Manager provides direct analytical and operational support to the Sr Director, Finance, and partners closely with Production, Operations and Scheduling ensuring financial transparency and accuracy, operational efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end Production Budget process, including detailed preparation for each upcoming event / season, for assigned properties including but not limited to pre- Games Olympic Sports (Trials, Nationals, World Champs) and digital properties
  • Manage key budget areas for the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, including budgeting and reporting of position metrics and associated spend through the Olympic games travel and payment application - SCORE
  • Key finance partner to Production and Operations leadership, providing real-time updates on production spend versus budget and identifying areas of risks and opportunities to ensure financial goals are achieved
  • Deliver on all FP&A and controllership requirements, including budgeting cycles / financial roll-ups, close, and actualization of property / event budgets.
  • Prepare cost analyses and financial summaries to support decision-making
  • Support finance and operational leadership with special requests, deep-dive analyses, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Strong expertise with Excel formulas/functions (e.g. VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Prior experience with global ERP systems (such as SAP)
  • CPA, CORE or similar experience preferred
