Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Revenue Manager in Irving, TX to oversee and analyze revenue, guide analysts, and partner with stakeholders to achieve business objectives. You will influence GXO’s financial performance through advisory insight and governance, supporting a robust revenue accounting framework.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, month-end close and SOX experience, with opportunities to drive automation and KPI development in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 5 years accounting experience, including public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606/842.
  • Experience with month-end close procedures.
  • Experience supporting SOX environments and external audits.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts to identify terms that impact revenue recognition.
  • Analyze and calculate revenue accruals during the monthly close.
  • Investigate variances in revenue during monthly close and resolve them.
  • Perform and review general ledger reconciliations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand implications of customer negotiations.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Help implement internal controls over Revenue Accounting and drive process improvements.

As the Revenue Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing revenue, guiding Revenue analysts, and partnering with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives. In this role, you will be able to positively affect GXO’s future through advice and counsel while creating long-term success for the Company and your career.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Manage and be a key member of a team covering, but not limited to, the following:
  • Review customer contracts to identify terms that impact revenue recognition, lease accounting, etc.
  • Analyze and calculate revenue accruals during the monthly financial close process
  • Analyze revenue, investigate, and resolve variances during the monthly financial close process
  • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations
  • Partner cross functionally to understand the implications of customer negotiations
  • Perform ad hoc reporting to support multiple stakeholders in a cross functional matrix environment
  • Perform and ensure key internal controls over the Revenue Accounting process are in place and function effectively
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and monitor meaningful KPIs that drive continuous improvement
  • Other duties, as assigned
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 years relevant accounting experience, including public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Experience performing month-end close procedures
  • Experience supporting SOX environments and external audits
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
It’d be great if you also have:
  • CPA license
  • 8 years of experience, including public accounting experience
  • Experience managing and developing people
  • Experience with ERP systems including Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Power BI, Blackline, and Copilot
  • Experience in the logistics industry
