Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Manager, Estimating to lead cost estimating for tenant fit-out scopes across the project lifecycle, from conceptual budgeting through GMP. You will establish cost data, drive budgets, and partner with Pre-Construction, Design, and Procurement.

You will mentor a team of estimators, benchmark costs across sites, and present insights to leadership and clients. The role requires 8+ years in data center estimation and proficiency with ProEst, Sage Estimating, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of estimating experience in data center or mission-critical construction.
• Strong understanding of cost drivers across electrical, mechanical, and structural fit-out scopes.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as ProEst, Sage Estimating, and On-Screen Takeoff.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating for tenant fit-out scopes from conceptual through final GMP.
• Develop and maintain cost databases and unit pricing for recurring TFO scopes such as rack installations, PDUs, structured cabling, and whips.
• Partner with Pre-Construction, Design, and Procurement to develop and validate project budgets.
• Manage change order review and cost impact analysis during construction.
• Present cost estimates and budget summaries to leadership and customers where appropriate.
• Manage and mentor a team of estimators.
• Benchmark TFO costs across projects and sites to identify savings opportunities.

About the role

The Manager, Estimating leads cost estimating for tenant fit-out scopes across the project lifecycle, from conceptual budgeting through final guaranteed maximum price (GMP). This role maintains cost data for recurring TFO scopes and partners closely with Pre-Construction and Design to validate budgets.

What you’ll do

Lead cost estimating for tenant fit-out scopes from conceptual through final GMP

Develop and maintain cost databases and unit pricing for recurring TFO scopes, such as rack installations, PDUs, structured cabling, and whips

Partner with Pre-Construction, Design, and Procurement to develop and validate project budgets
