The Manager, Environmental Services, assumes responsibility and accountability for daily operations of assigned area of responsibility. Monitors customer service on a regular basis and takes pro‑active measures to assure quality service. Maintain an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and orderly condition. Interfaces with administrators, physicians, clinical staff, and vendors. Collaborates with other department managers to ensure operations continuity. Actively participates in hospital infection control program and has knowledge of all applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Creates and maintains a schedule for deep cleaning and floor cleaning and polishing. Participate in staff selection process. Interview candidates as needed. Ensure that staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education. Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to enable each one to perform to his/her fullest potential. Conducts quality assurance checks and manages materials inventory as well as general use of equipment. Monitors budget performance. Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans. Contribute to the success of the organization through achievement of system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
Bachelors preferred
Three years of housekeeping or launder/linen distribution industry experience required.
