This hybrid role emphasizes data stewardship, quality, metadata, and semantic governance to support AI-ready data understanding across the enterprise. You will manage a team of FTEs and contractors, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive governance initiatives that balance compliance with efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Data Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in data governance operations.
• 3+ years of people management leading technical and/or business-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data governance operations for the Cambia Data Platform, including data stewardship, quality, metadata, and semantic layer governance.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to enable AI-ready data understanding and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with data domain leaders to advance governance maturity across the enterprise and build a strong data stewardship community.
• Directly manage team members (FTE and contractors) and provide coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Compliance, Privacy, and business units to align governance with business objectives.

Then this role may be the perfect fit.What You Bring to Cambia:Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Data Management, or related technical field, and 5+ years in data governance operations, 3+ years of people management experience leading technical and/or business-facing teams, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and Attributes:* Extensive experience leading data governance operations including data stewardship, metadata management, data quality initiatives, data classification, and semantic layer governance with contextual metadata management* Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake, including governance features, data governance platforms, and data catalog tools* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards that enable AI-ready data understanding* Experience supporting both legacy and modern enterprise technology environments, with familiarity with compliance requirements related to data governance* Ability to contribute hands-on to technical work across data governance activities* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop business-facing and technical teams, including managing both FTE and contractor resources* Strong project and program management capabilities with ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work across multiple teams and functions* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences, with ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business needs for technical teams* Demonstrated outcome-focused leadership and accountability with ability to manage dotted-line relationships effectively* Quality-driven mindset, strategic thinking combined with operational execution, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills* Ability to balance compliance, operational efficiency, and business enablement with a change management and process improvement orientation* Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desiredWhat You Will Do at Cambia:* Manage enterprise data governance operations and data governance activities for the Cambia Data Platform, including data stewardship, data quality, metadata management, data classification, and semantic layer governance to enable AI-ready data understanding* Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies* Partner with data domain leaders to advance governance maturity across the enterprise and build a strong data stewardship community* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data governance efficiency and effectiveness, and establish and track key performance indicators for governance operations* Directly manage team members—including FTE and contractor resources—responsible for data governance operations, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and supporting professional development* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across IT, Security, Compliance, Privacy, and business units to ensure data governance supports business objectives* Develop and execute strategic plans for enterprise data governance and Cambia Data Platform governance while balancing operational demands with strategic initiatives and contributing hands-on to team deliverables as needed* Oversee data governance activities that support data quality, lineage, and metadata management to create trusted, well-understood data assets* As a member of our strong leadership community, you will provide direction to your team, engage them towards common goals and create a positive experience that helps people flourish.Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location. The expected hiring range depends on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. * National pay structure— applies to the Boise, Portland, Salem, Seattle/Renton/Tacoma, Burlington, Vancouver, Lewiston, and Salt Lake City metro areas: The full salary range is $ $141,000-$231,000 and the bonus target is 17%.* Regional pay structure — applies to North Dakota and to Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah locations outside the metro areas listed above: The full salary range is $ $127,000 - $208,000 and the bonus target is 17%.
