Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a data management professional to manage contract data, deliverables, and compliance across the lifecycle. You will coordinate with the Program Office, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely, accurate data delivery and approval routing.

The role emphasizes governance of data in PDM systems, risk management, and collaboration on cross-functional teams to meet program goals. A DoD clearance and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required OR 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience with government standards and processes (EIA-649, GEIA-859)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (Current)

Responsibilities

  • Identify data deliverables and build a data track in PDM.
  • Review data for compliance with Program Office.
  • Deliver information to customer on time throughout the lifecycle.
  • Review sub-tier contractor requirements and data submissions.
  • Handle approval routing and integration into prime deliverables.
  • Secure non-deliverable work products for PDM control.
  • Perform as Risk and Opportunity Manager/Facilitator.

What You Will Do
  • Identifies all data deliverables made part of a contract
    Builds a data track in a Product Data Management (PDM) system
  • Identifies, with help from the Program Office, the appropriate preparers, receives the data within PDM, and reviews the data for compliance
  • Solicits and secures appropriate programmatic approval, and delivers the information to the customer on time, throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
  • Reviews sub-tier contractor requirements, builds data tracks for supplier submissions, and receives data from various suppliers
  • Approval routing, and/or incorporation, into prime contractor deliverables to the customer
  • Secure non-deliverable program work products to be configuration controlled in the PDM system and other related tasking
  • Performing as Risk and Opportunity Manager/Facilitator
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree OR in absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience with government standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard and GEIA-859, Data Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Current and Active DoD Government Secret Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience managing Risk and Opportunities
  • Ability to interpret scheduling and milestone requirements
  • Strong business acumen including planning, forecasting, analytical skills and ability to negotiate and influence
  • Can work in a team-based environment consisting of organizational and outside customer contacts to meet project goals.
  • Sense of urgency; ability to meet challenging deadlines, and attention to detail
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communications, relationship building, and in collaborating on cross-functional teams comprised of diverse personalities and skill sets
  • Experience with generating Data Management productivity metrics and reports
  • Experience with estimating, proposing and managing Data Management cost and schedule on a program
  • Experienced in Windchill or similar product data management (PDM) tools
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification, with relevant experience
  • Active DOD clearance

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
