Job summary

Thrivent is seeking an Engineering Manager for Product Acquisition to shape Wealth Management and Insurance technology strategy while leading a hands-on engineering team. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to drive platform maturity, DevOps practices, and product operating model adoption.

You will mentor engineers, manage delivery across initiatives, and partner with Product Management to define roadmaps, targets, and success metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible positions in Information Technology including 5+ years of software development, portfolio strategy and roadmap development.
  • 3+ years of management/supervisory experience in IT with leading major technical projects and enforcing talent management.

We are looking for a manager with hands-on technical experience to drive the strategy along with helping coach and mentor a team of engineers. You will lead a team of engineers and will collaborate with other engineering teams within the organization regarding strategy, adoption of our product operating mode, operational excellence, DevOps/engineering maturity, and implementation of the platform. Provide guidance and direction to the team.Take part in system design and architecture conversations with the team to land approaches to deliver solutions.Developing SoftwareHas Developed software.
