Position Summary

The Engineering Manager provides leadership, direction, and technical support across the organization to improve equipment reliability, operational performance, and manufacturing capability. This role works closely with Plant Managers, Maintenance leaders, and other functional leaders across all eight facilities to identify and execute opportunities that improve OEE, reduce maintenance costs, strengthen equipment reliability, and deliver high-return capital investments.

The Engineering Manager will lead the organization's OEE process, establish and maintain consistent engineering and equipment standards, and develop a disciplined approach to capital project development and execution. The role will also facilitate the sharing of engineering and maintenance best practices across facilities and accelerate the effective use of technology platforms including ShopLogix, MaintainX and KCF Technologies.

Success in this role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, analytical capability, practical problem solving, project management, and the ability to build productive partnerships with plant and maintenance leadership.

Key Responsibilities
OEE & Operational Performance
  • Drive and manage the OEE process across all eight facilities through cadenced reviews to identify significant trends, losses, and improvement opportunities.
  • Standardize and normalize OEE measurement, definitions, and reporting across the organization to ensure meaningful comparison between plants and equipment.
  • Share successful improvement practices across facilities and ensure proven solutions become incorporated into standard equipment and process designs going forward.
Technology & Digital Tools
  • Facilitate and extend the effective use of ShopLogix, MaintainX and KCF technologies across all facilities.
  • Support consistent implementation and utilization of CMMS processes, standards, and data.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, OEE, and decision-making.
Engineering & Equipment Standards
  • Establish preferred equipment designs, components, technologies, and specifications based on reliability, maintainability, safety, performance, and total cost of ownership.
  • Ensure maintenance spending is strategically aligned with moving equipment toward the organization's ideal or standard design.
  • Use recurring maintenance issues to continually update and improve equipment standards.
Capital Projects & Engineering
  • Develop and manage major capital projects from concept through implementation and closeout.
  • Work with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, technical requirements, budgets, timelines, and expected ROI.
Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Develop strong working partnerships with Plant Managers, Maintenance leaders, Operations, Quality, Safety, and other functional leaders.
  • Facilitate open collaboration between sites to identify, replicate, and standardize successful practices.
  • Lead through influence and collaboration while maintaining clear accountability for organizational engineering initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading maintenance, engineering, reliability, or related manufacturing functions.
  • Manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of production equipment and industrial processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of OEE and experience using data to drive operational improvement.
  • Experience developing and managing capital projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, business cases, and ROI analyses.
  • Experience implementing or managing a CMMS, preferably MaintainX or a comparable platform.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across an organization without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel regularly up to 30% between company facilities.
