Job summary

Constellation in the United States is seeking a senior engineering leader to manage the engineering function for a nuclear power site. You will oversee engineers, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive long-term asset management and performance improvements.

The role requires a PE license, 5 years in engineering with nuclear plant exposure, and familiarity with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014. This is a full-time, on-site position at a nuclear facility within the company's expansive energy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science; PE license considered.
• 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year nuclear plant experience.
• ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standard knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers, address engineering deliverables, and develop long-term asset management and improvement plans.
• Represent ERO and rotational duty manager responsibilities.
• Ensure engineering function meets station needs and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee performance and development of engineering personnel to achieve high-quality results.
• Direct and through subordinates, fulfill engineering leadership for short- and long-term programs affecting site operations.
• Participate in Business Planning, Budget, and Performance reviews for staff.
• Contribute as senior resource to NGG-wide programs on standardized engineering systems and processes.
• Handle other duties including emergency response and outage support.

Primary Purpose Of Position

Provide management of the engineering function of accountability.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities

• Responsible for the management of engineers, addressing engineering technical deliverables, and developing/implementing long term assets management and improvement plans.
• Will be a representative for our ERO and rotational duty manager responsibility
• Provide management of the engineering function with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements
• Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results
• Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.
• Participate in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding assigned staff.
• Participate as senior resource to NGG-wide programs and initiatives regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes.
• Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or nuclear) OR related science OR License Professional Engineer OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, which shall include 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
• Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
• Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

• Professional Engineer Registration
• Advanced technical degree, Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Supervisory or managerial experience
