Job Description

The Manager, Employee Relations will be responsible for delivering workplace and employee relations services to employees and managers in the US. This role acts as a single point of contact, providing expert employee relations support across multiple US business units. The position involves investigating and resolving workplace and employee relations reports in coordination with established practices. It focuses on proactive and responsive approaches to foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert consultation and problem-solving services to managers, employees, HR partners, and Ethics and Compliance teams regarding HR policies and cases.
  2. Advise on performance improvement processes, including determining the need for PIPs, supporting their administration, and guiding managers and employees through the process.
  3. Maintain confidential employee relations data accurately in systems and filing mechanisms.
  4. Ensure professional service delivery aligned with company guidelines and expectations.
  5. Identify critical factors in situations, evaluate alternatives, and make informed recommendations.
  6. Document case information and outcomes appropriately.
  7. Consider broad impacts and alternative solutions before applying decisions.
  8. Assist with case load management, work schedules, and departmental needs.
  9. Lead within the Employee and Workplace Relations team, including training and mentoring team members.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with the business, managing expectations and delivering results.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  2. Strong organizational skills to ensure timely case resolution.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office.
  4. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Employee Relations or HR roles.
  5. Knowledge of HR regulations, policies, and procedures.
  6. Effective communication skills for building partnerships and influencing stakeholders.
  7. Strong business judgment aligned with organizational and legal standards.
  8. Ability to make effective decisions in ambiguous situations.
