A premier tourism organization in New York City is seeking a highly organized Manager, Communications – Domestic. This full-time position involves managing PR communications, engaging with media, and supporting strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, media relationship-building experience, and the flexibility to attend evening events across the city. Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience in a communications role (agency or in-house).
• High attention to detail and follow-through.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend events or site visits across the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Write PR materials including press releases and media advisories.
• Manage NYC Tourism domestic media contact list.
• Handle daily management of press inbox and press office phone line.
• Organize media trips and events with logistical support.

Skills

Excellent writing skills

Ability to build strong local/domestic media relationships

Experience in generating earned media placements

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

Proficiency in Excel

Knowledge of Muck Rack

Tools

Muck Rack or similar PR coverage monitoring database
