Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, IL seeks a Manager, Distribution (2nd Shift) to lead the Inbound Processing Center, supervising up to 25 hourly teammates and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You will drive process improvements, coordinate payroll/attendance, oversee inventory and equipment, and mentor staff while maintaining service levels and controlling costs. This onsite role requires strong decision making and teamwork.

Job Summary:

As the Manager, Distribution (2nd Shift) for our Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Morton, IL, you will serve as a front-line leader, supervising up to 25 hourly personnel within the Inbound Processing Center.

What You Will Do:

Lead and motivate distribution center teams through coaching, training, and reinforcement to maintain a positive work environment. What You Have (Basic Requirements):

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in logistics processes and/or logistics distribution
• Experience in SAP EWM
• Strong leadership, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop working relationships with others
• Demonstrated operations experience

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
