Job summary

HD Supply Management, LLC (USA) seeks a Distribution Center leader to run the operation in New Jersey. Lead strategic planning, financial management, and inventory control while guiding staff and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

Lead the operation of a Distribution Center in support of company goals, providing input and feedback on all operational processes and results to the DC Manager. The role involves strategic planning, financial management, operational reporting, fleet management, process improvement, compliance, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Provide departmental input to the DC Manager for the development of operating plans for warehouse and transportation operations, including facility, equipment, and staff considerations.
• Identify departmental financial resources and provide cost justification for departmental spending; participate with the DC Manager in the development of operating budgets.
• Recommend and implement process improvement action plans within the department.
• Conduct routine departmental analysis on functions, processes, and asset utilization (equipment, resources, labor) and communicate results to the DC Manager.
• Lead associates to ensure full compliance with safety, hazardous material rules, legal regulations, and HR policies, and report discrepancies to the DC Manager.
• Manage the performance of the Assistant Manager and/or hourly associates, providing training, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when warranted.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Analyze and investigate solutions, executing plans based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
• Manage a team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervise support staff.

Working Conditions

Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause moderate discomfort or risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering materials or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward. Requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field, including 3+ years of management experience.
• Certification may be required; an advanced degree may offset less experience in certain disciplines.
• Applicable to locations in CA, CO, CT, D.C., DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, VA, VT, WA.

Pay Range

$84,700.00 – $126,700.00 annually.
