Ford in the United States seeks a Manager, Digital Product Strategy to define portfolio direction across Ford's retail, vehicle, dealer, and Ford Pro experiences. You will translate enterprise priorities into actionable roadmaps with measurable outcomes and executive-ready stories.
You will work with senior leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and partners, shaping bets, aligning investments, and ensuring delivery of customer value at scale.
As Manager, Digital Product Strategy at Ford, you’ll tackle consequential questions: where should we invest in our digital product portfolio, what should we stop, and how do we connect vehicles, digital products, dealers, and services into an experience that our customers value? You’ll work with senior leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and Ford Pro to pressure-test major bets, shape portfolio choices, and turn recommendations into measurable action. Small team. Broad scope. Real-world impact.
Ford is connecting its vehicles, digital products, dealers, and services into an end-to-end customer ecosystem. We are seeking a Manager, Digital Product Strategy, to turn that ambition into clear portfolio choices, measurable outcomes, and decisions leaders can act on. Small team. Large scope. High accountability.
Shape the digital experiences that make Ford indispensable throughout ownership
Make explicit choices across retail, vehicle, dealer, and Ford Pro experiences
Connect customer value, business outcomes, and delivery realities
Influence consequential decisions and follow them through to execution
As the Manager, Digital Product Strategy, you will lead complex work that connects Ford's enterprise and Integrated Services priorities to Digital Product strategy, portfolio investments, and execution. Working closely with the Director of Digital Product Strategy and senior Digital Product leaders, you will bring Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and business partners together around evidence-backed recommendations and compelling stories.
Set portfolio direction: Translate enterprise and Integrated Services priorities into strategy for the retail ecosystem, simpler and more intuitive experiences, confidence to do more with the vehicle, and Ford Pro Intelligence. Connect shared core experiences to distinct customer needs across Ford's lifestyle domains.
Pressure-test the bets: Evaluate where to double down, invest, sustain, or pull back. Assess product and roadmap proposals for strategic fit, customer value, reach, business value, confidence, timing, and delivery capacity. Use existing customer and business measures to test choices and identify evidence gaps.
Frame build/buy/partner choices: Develop recommendations on what Ford must own, where it should partner, and how to protect customer experience and strategic control points. Make the economics, trade-offs, and dependencies explicit.
Run the intelligence loop: Track customer needs, competitors, platform shifts, and partner moves. Test strategic assumptions against evidence and identify threats or opportunities early.
Solve problems across boundaries: Connect vehicle, app, dealer, service, and Ford Pro journeys rather than optimizing isolated features. Turn fragmented inputs into clear choices on product direction, packaging, partnerships, and where Ford should stop investing.
Connect strategy to delivery: Tie strategic pillars to proposed roadmaps using established objectives and measures to inform choices. Surface funding, engineering-capacity, and cross-team dependencies before leaders make portfolio trade-offs.
Put established measures to work: Partner with the teams that own Digital Product metrics and performance reporting. Use the links they have built between initiatives, customer behaviors, and business outcomes to assess bets, spot gaps, and recommend adjustments within Digital Product's management system.
Make reviews decision-ready: Structure portfolio reviews and strategic deep dives around evidence, options, trade-offs, and clear asks. Document decisions and owners, and help teams carry the result through to execution.
Own consequential narratives: Develop sharp, evidence-backed materials for Digital Product and Integrated Services leaders, executive forums, and Board discussions. Make the customer stakes, business case, risks, recommendation, and decision unmistakable.
Lead through influence: Independently drive complex workstreams with Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, Retail, Ford Pro, and service partners. Build alignment before formal decisions without assuming control of their funding or capacity.
Raise the team's bar: Coach clear problem solving and executive storytelling. Model rigor, high ownership, practical follow-through, and a low-ego approach across the strategy team.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Product Strategy, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to own complex analysis and recommendations for senior leaders. Prior automotive or digital product experience is not required.
Strategic and analytical judgment: Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, assess a portfolio of bets, test assumptions, build business cases, and make explicit recommendations and trade-offs.
Executive communication: Exceptional writing and presentation skills; you can turn complex analysis into a clear, persuasive, decision-ready story.
Operational discipline: Ability to manage several high-priority workstreams and deliver rigorous work under tight deadlines.
Systems thinking: Ability to connect customer needs, product choices, platform and delivery constraints, business outcomes, and enterprise priorities.
Influence without authority: Ability to align cross-functional leaders through trust, sound judgment, and a candid view of evidence and risks.
Must be willing to work EST time zone hours.
Experience across connected vehicle services, digital commerce, dealer and service journeys, commercial fleet products, or software platforms.
Experience advising senior executives or leading cross-functional strategy work in a large, complex organization.
Experience using established goals and measures to inform portfolio priorities, learning, and clear cross-functional decisions.
Visual storytelling: Ability to make an argument clear through high-quality presentation design or lightweight concepting.
