CorroHealth Inc. is seeking a Manager of Denial Management to lead the denial delivery team for assigned clients. This remote role involves coordinating with client contacts, QA teams, and leadership to ensure timely, accurate coding and reimbursements.

You will manage a team of 3+ direct reports, drive client meetings, and deliver executive reporting while maintaining high client satisfaction and adherence to privacy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience preferred.
  • National coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
  • Minimum 3 years coding experience including facility level of service and Professional E/M coding; trauma/observation charge capture preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for denial-related activities for assigned clients.
  • Manage the denial delivery process and denial team for clients.
  • Lead monthly client meetings via phone or in person to ensure proactive feedback across the team.
  • Provide periodic status reports to CorroHealth leadership regarding client status.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams on coding quality issues and ensure privacy and security compliance.

The Manager will participate actively in implementation activities and manage the denial delivery process and denial team for the clients utilizing this service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Note: The essential duties and responsibilities below are intended to describe the general duties and responsibilities of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the Team Member’s performance objectives as outlined by the Team Member’s immediate Leadership Team Member.This is a REMOTE position within the US only.TRAVEL: Estimated to be 15%-25%Manages the client service level agreement metrics including denial delivery expectations with turnaround timeframe.Drives monthly client meetings via phone or in person in order to ensure a proactive feedback loop across the teamCommunicates regularly with all key members of the CorroHealth team to meet client needs as well as corporate objectivesMaintain awareness and knowledge of client satisfaction levelsMonitor on-going progress and success of each client utilizing various matrixIdentify and participate in resolution of client problems or issues in a timely mannerProvide periodic status reports to CorroHealth leadership teams regarding client statusMeet with clients (at a minimum) on a monthly basis to review monthly reporting package and discuss any operational issuesDevelop and present executive level reporting package on a quarterly basisManage a team of 3+ direct reports, including performance reviews, employee development and disciplinary action as necessaryWork with client point(s) of contact in resolution of all coding and charge capture related issuesWork in collaboration with Quality Assurance teams regarding all coding quality issues.Collaborate with team to improve existing products and servicesCollaborate with team to develop new products and servicesAssist direct reports with accurate application of diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCSProvide and/or aid direct reports with interpretation of coding guidelines for accurate code assignmentIdentify and ensure that direct reports understand the importance of documentation on code assignment and the subsequent reimbursement impactAlign personal conduct with and build a team culture that aligns conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business ConductComply with and promote and support direct report’s compliance with all internal policies and proceduresActively participate in Company provided training and education and ensure that direct reports complete mandatory training and education by established deadlines and are able to properly implement and/or practice the principles taught via the Company’s training and education programEnsure individual and direct report compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations and commit to the protection of all Company confidential information, including but not limited to, Personal Health InformationThoughtfully evaluate risk, participate in the development of risk mitigation activities and engage in correcting deficienciesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience preferredNational coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA - PREFERREDA minimum of 3 years previous coding experience including facility level of service and Professional E/M coding; experience with facility trauma and observation charge capture preferredA minimum of 2 years of previous management experience in a healthcare settingStrong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize workload, to meet deadlines and to maintain a high level of quality and accuracyInitiative, resourcefulness, and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and ExcelAbility to navigate in a variety of EMR environments and review hand-written chartsAbility to manage multiple complex projects on an on-going basis is requiredAbility to work with various personnel with varying skill sets in team-centered environmentAbility to identify the nature of problems and use high-level problem-solving skillsEssential Functions:Note: The essential duties and primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.
