Manager, Data Products & ERP Integration
The Manager, Data Products & ERP Integration is responsible for providing leadership, organization, and direction to support corporate and departmental strategy through the execution of projects and initiatives within the Data Platforms and Products team.
This role serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into scalable enterprise data solutions. A key focus is working with ERP and enterprise application data, including SAP and other legacy platforms, to support data integration, analytics, and reporting across supply chain, operations, finance, wholesale, and retail functions.
The Manager will lead solution definition, business requirements, data integration and architecture decisions while managing multiple initiatives and leading a team of product managers, business analysts, and contingent resources.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, planning, and delivery of data products and solutions by collaborating with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architecture teams, and external partners to align on goals, scope, and business value.
- Lead data integration efforts involving SAP/ERP and other enterprise systems, working with ERP data, processes, integrations, and business users to deliver analytics, reporting, and enterprise data solutions.
- Oversee business requirements, data discovery, and user experience activities, ensuring clear translation into actionable technical requirements and project execution plans.
- Provide solution architecture direction in partnership with engineering and architecture teams, including conceptual and logical designs, data integration approaches, APIs, event strategies, and alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
- Ensure data products integrate effectively with wholesale and retail systems, including ERP, WMS, TMS, merchandising, pricing, digital commerce, finance, and supply chain systems, by understanding system interactions, data flows, and process dependencies.
- Translate wholesale and retail operational processes—including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, promotions, and category management—into scalable data capabilities that support enterprise modernization and process optimization.
- Manage execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, including planning, prioritization, resource and budget oversight, vendor engagement, and communication with business and IT leadership.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery methodologies, architectural practices, and operational processes to improve efficiency, solution quality, and cross-functional alignment.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of product managers, business analysts, and contingent staff, including performance management, staffing, and professional development.
- Provide subject matter expertise on wholesale/retail systems and data flows, advising teams on system impacts, integration considerations, and architectural alignment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor′s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience required.
Experience
- 8+ years of relevant Information Technology experience.
- 6+ years of successful data solutions or custom software solutions implementation experience.
- 3+ years of management experience leading teams composed of associate and contract resources across multiple locations, including offshore resources.
- 3+ years of data product development and delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP data, processes, and integrations, including integrating ERP data for analytics, reporting, and enterprise data solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects or initiatives and working across business and technology teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting approaches and align teams to corporate and departmental strategic roadmaps.
- Experience developing, setting, and managing departmental goals and priorities.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong knowledge of data product development and delivery, including business analysis, requirements definition, and collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and reporting.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP/S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS); SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with modern cloud data and analytics technologies; AWS and Databricks experience preferred, with exposure to BI/reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
- Experience within wholesale, retail, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, CPG, or related industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of solution and data architecture, including integrations, APIs, event-driven architecture, and data modeling.
- Experience translating complex business processes from ERP, supply chain, inventory, transportation, and warehouse management systems into technical and data requirements.
- Ability to assess technical trade-offs and recommend scalable, reliable solutions aligned with business goals.
- Working knowledge of Agile/iterative software development methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer and stakeholder focus.
- Ability to lead and develop distributed teams through mentoring, coaching, and clear goal setting.
